CHURCH HISTORY
This is a history of our church, detailing our humble beginnings and the journey we have undertaken over the years. We started from scratch, overcoming numerous challenges and obstacles, and now we are dedicated to building a vibrant community that supports and enriches the lives of its members. Our commitment to serving the community continues to grow, and we strive to create an environment that fosters discipleship, freedom in Christ, and family strength throughout generations.
The Call
Apostle Dr. Michael Fuller received revelation of Word Of Life Tabernacle while in military service in Germany. That vision and commission would soon become a reality in 1995, the 1st Sunday in October. After being released from his then Pastor Reverend Dr. Robert L. Brunson of St. Paul Full Gospel Baptist Church, Apostle and Evangelist moved out to fulfill the call of the kingdom. Below is a short synopsis of where the ministry has grown from by the grace of God.
Site One
Our first official worship location was on Murchison Road. We held service at this location from the first Sunday in October 1995 until we moved to our second location in December 1995. There were cold nights due to the winter season, however, we pressed our way through and had a great time in ministry outreach and empowering God’s people to resources outside of those walls.
Site Two
This location is off of Yadkin Road and we spent three years at this location. We grew in God’s grace, fellowship and in love here. Many of our longtime members joined the church at this location and still remain or have deceased. We spent many cold and warm days at this location due to an inconsistency in air flow. The floors were full of dust. We were broken into three times and equipment from the main office and sound systems were stolen. There were so many things that challenged our love and effectiveness, but we stayed consistent and healthy; growing in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and men.
Site Three
This was our home of worship from February 1999 to November 2005. We experienced a tremendous move of God at this location. The Lord was very faithful to us even while pruning us to carry His glory. God taught us in this season that nothing is impossible if God is the designer. We first learned that little becomes much when we put it in the Master’s hands. We experienced loss and triumphs yet God favored us in the community and grew the name of the church’s reach.
VISION
What We Are Called To Do
Our purpose in serving the community is to reach souls for the kingdom of God through a ministry of deliverance, healing, and discipleship. Because we believe that God does the work and he does the increase, we position ourselves to be his ambassadors and workman so that others will see Jesus and be changes. Because of this mindset, we train leaders and laity to become ministry resources for the church, community, and the world. We know that God-centered families cultivate healthy community growth. We love to see people win in every facet of life; being an example of a life full of God’s word and joy.
