The late founder

Apostle Dr. Michael Fuller

Love God. Preach the Gospel.
Live Holy. Love the People

The late Apostle leaves behind his most precious studies and books for everyone to partake in and grow in the kingdom.  He fashioned his work and love of the gospel from his transitioned mentors of Evangelist Lilly Leavy of the Prayer and Healing Room and Bishop James Everett of Irvington, N.J. Realizing that only what he did for Christ would last, Apostle Dr. Fuller worked and stayed the course even until his last breath.  He never approached his call to ministry and the pastorate as a mild undertaking,  but he kept his body under subjection and his hands ready to work.

Apostle Dr. Michael Fuller

Apostle Dr. Michael Fuller Sr. answered his calling into the Gospel ministry at the age of 18 years old and preached his first introductory sermon in June of 1981 and served in his local church until He went into military service July 1984. He served in the US Army and graduated with diploma from the Chaplaincy school in Ft. Monmouth, NJ. He served our military troops as a Chaplain’s Assistant. Served at Ft. Stewart, GA from 1984 – 1989 and spent the remainder of his military service in Germany from 1989 – 1992. During his time in Europe the Lord began to speak to him about his future ministry. The Lord gave him the name “Word of Life” which is the name of the church today. He served as Assistant Pastor of the Babenhausen Germany Gospel Service from 1990 – 1992 under the leadership of Pastor Larry Herron. The Lord sent him and his family back to Fayetteville, NC with a vision to launch a ministry work. In October 1994, the Word of Life Tabernacle became a reality with a Kingdom mandate to set the captives free.

Apostle Fuller approached ministry with the fear of the Lord and would often expressed to other leaders and pastors that He “counted it a privilege to serve in the Lords work.  He knew that one day he and his works would judged by the Lord with fire, so he took everything serious concerning ministry.

Apostle Fuller’s academic qualifications coupled with the anointing of the Holy Spirit equip him for the great task of establishing the purpose of the church in the community and the world. He recognized a vision to become more effective and positioned for Kingdom purpose and therefore began pursuing higher levels of learning and education. Apostle Fuller took business courses with the University of Maryland, Chaplaincy training courses while in the military. He earned his Associates of Applied Science degrees both in Business Administration and Marketing and Retailing from Fayetteville Technical Community College, studied at Carolina Bible College earning his Associates of Biblical Studies, Certificate in Counseling, Richardson Certificate, and completed courses toward his bachelor’s in biblical studies at Carolina Bible College. He also served as the first Director of Correspondence at Carolina Bible College in Fayetteville, NC for 10 years under Dr. Phil Stam, President. Apostle Fuller furthered his studies at Fayetteville State University and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He worked as a Human Resources Intern for the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center on Ramsey Street while in School. Upon graduation he was employed in the Human Resources Management Services where he worked up the ranks in the Federal Government. He retired in February of 2022, as a GS-12 Senior Staffing/Recruitment Specialist and Consultant, with the Veterans Health Administration, Human Resources Management Services, Fayetteville Coastal Healthcare System, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
